AGTLAND specializes in civic and cultural projects on a variety of scales. With experience on planning and design review boards, we are able to translate intimate knowledge of what is needed for these projects to successful design solutions that speak to the needs of the client, the community, and the environment.

AGTLAND has worked on civic spaces integral to the success of cities such as Boca Raton, Ocean Ridge and Delray Beach. Examples include: coauthoring the Beautification Plan for Downtown Boca Raton, Parks and Recreation Master Plan for Parkland, Florida, working very closely with neighborhood groups and public agencies in designing a safe neighborhood concept for the City of Hollywood, the redevelopment master plan for historic Banker’s Row in Delray Beach, and Old School Square, an adaptive reuse of the historic Delray Beach Elementary and High School into a Cultural Arts Center.

AGTLAND is proud to have been the landscape architect for many outstanding educational campuses in South Florida. We have been involved with the design and implementation of master plans for several prestigious schools. Our work has included the design of landscape master plans, athletic facilities, landmark buildings, memorials, and environmental preserves.

Our ongoing role as the campus landscape architects for Lynn University has been especially important to us. We are continually involved with the growth of the University, from its earliest days as Marymount College to the internationally recognized Lynn University of today.

AGTLAND is honored to have our residential landscape design for a Delray Beach garden added to the Smithsonian Institution’s Archives of American Gardens as part of the Garden Club of America Collection. The Garden is called “Lisa’s Garden” after the owner and is listed under AAG Garden #FL261. The garden boasts many varieties of tropical and flowering plants giving it an Old Florida style and feel. The front yard includes specimen mature trees and palms to create a canopy over the lawn. The entry feature gate leads to the tropical courtyard of gingers, heliconias, and thatch palms. The backyard features a pool with a colorful background of bougainvillea on a wood trellis. The outdoor covered living patios connect to the pool patio through the formal fountain garden with Brugmansia trees, Ixora shrubs, and gold mound groundcover, and alamandas and gardenias as accents.
